Vintage framed print of an 18th C. engraving by B.Cole of St.Bartholomew's Hospital, London England. Inscribed to the treasurer John Tuff. The print bears two coats of arms, the first of the Hospital itself & the other that of John Tuff Esq. It shows 'The South Prospect' & plans of the 'New Building'. A great piece of history with a super vintage look. I have discovered that the Hospital is approaching its 900th Anniversary in 2023, it was founded in 1123 ! I have owned this picture for many years & it has been in storage most recently. A wonderful print for an office or surgery wall especially for anyone who has their own history or connection with Saint Bartholomew's Hospital. in very good condition. I believe this print was originally framed professionally. The thin gold, wooden frame has two brown stripes which compliments the print very well. Although in good condition the corners & edges have had some bumps along the way. I have added some gold wax to the very corners to help disguise this.When hanging on your wall these will not be noticeable. the back is sealed & there is a hook ready to hang your picture. Picture measures 14 1/2 x 9 3/4 x 1/2 thick. Weight 734g unwrapped. Shipping is standard. There is an option to upgrade at checkout if preferred.
