Because of the nature of hand-stamping, it is impossible to guarantee that letters will be perfectly aligned. Some tool markings are evident on the front sides as well as the back sides, as evident in the photos. No two pieces are exactly alike due to pattern, placement of letters, alignment, depth of impression & uniformity of letters. Silver plate also will vary in thickness, tint & patina from piece to piece. Due to the age & uniqueness of our pieces, imperfections are to be expected & cherished. Coloring of the letters will wear off over time depending on frequency of use & method of cleaning, but the stamping impression will still be visible. HANDWASHING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.
