Single 'Dark Peak' Ceramic Soap Dish, inspired by the Peak District's moorland tops, blankets of peat & craggy rocks. Glazed in 'Carduelis', a creamy speckle overlapped with 'Basalt' a dark charcoal with navy undertones & a subtle orange fleck, to create a dark moody moorland. I make everything in my studio in the beautiful Peak District. My pieces are thrown on the wheel, trimmed & fired to bisque in the kiln to 1000 degrees. I then glaze the pieces before firing them again to 1250 degrees. The process can take up to 4 weeks & every item is small batch & unique.
