Vintage Japanese kimono silk lampshade table lamp delicate chinoiserie floral in blue, lemon, red & cream with pale mint green ceramic base Limited Edition Shade height 16cm Shade width 17cm Circumference 54cm With base 37cm H All PAT tested This gorgeous lampshade is covered in a very rare vintage Japanese kimono silk dating from the 70's. The detail is stunning with red pink, lemon yellow, aqua blue & white spring flowers on a creamy white silk background. Look closer & see the geometric design woven into the silk, it has a delicate satin sheen which reflects & chages with the light. There's no repeat pattern in this silk so it looks different when you turn it which creates interest. This listing is for either shade only or with this lovely soft pastel mint green ceramic base with concentric circles, the whole light has a special vintage feel, on or off. A perfect item to light up your room! I've been working hard sourcing fine vintage kimono silks from Japan, that can work together as a collection for the season. This can take months, sometimes longer. I just love the ah ha moment when I've found a perfect pairing. The silks are all from different era's last century & have already been unpicked from the original kimono which means they get stored in cupboards & these fantastic artisan works get lost. It's my mission to unearth such rare textiles & reimagine them as very limited edition home accessories so we can apprecite & enjoy them as the works of art they really are!
