Silk drum lampshade table lamp bedside light in chinoiserie floral lilac, pink, yellow, blue made from a rare Japanese kimono Shade height 15cm Width 16.5cm With base 37cm H I've been working hard sourcing fine vintage kimono silk remnants from Japan, I just love that ah ha moment when I've found the perfect silk. These special textiles are from different era's last century, & have already been unpicked from the original kimono which means they get stored in cupboards & these fantastic artisan works get hidden & lost. It's my mission to unearth such rare textiles & reimagine them as very limited edition home accessories so we can apprecite & enjoy them as the works of art they truly are! I've covered this gorgeous lampshade in a very rare vintage Japanese kimono silk dating from the 70's. On a lovely pastel lilac silk background are these gorgeous flowers, chrysanthemums, roses, stylised daisies & maple leaves in pink, blue, green & mustard yellow, it has a very chinoiserie feel & would look great in a bedroom. Choose shade only OR plus base in either mustard yellow ceramic in a elegant bottle shape, or pale grey in a shorter, rounder shape, both of the colours are picked out in the silk beautifully! Please note, you may need to get a plug adapter to suit your region if not compatible with UK It comes with a new low wattage LED lightbulb & a note explaining the silks origin.
