Rare Vintage Japanese kimono silk lampshade chinoiserie lovers colourful scenery, maple leaves, flowers, houses + yellow ceramic base Limited Edition of only 2 Shade height 18cm Width 20cm With base 40cm H PAT tested This gorgeous lampshade is covered in a very rare vintage Japanese kimono silk dating from the 70's. The detail is stunning with scenery & traditional Japanese houses with shutters & decks, bridges, trees, flowers & maple leaves in every colour of the rainbow. As the design has no repeat it changes as it turns & fine detail like the highlights of gold get noticed! The base is mustard yellow matt ceramic in a elegant bottle shape, the colour is picked out in the silk beautifully. Please note, you may need to get a plug adapter to suit your region if not compatible with UK It comes with a new low wattage LED lightbulb & a note explaining the silks origin. I'm excited to share my new lampshades, I've been working hard sourcing fine vintage kimono silks from Japan, that can work together as a collection. This can take months, sometimes longer. I just love the ah ha moment when I've found a perfect pairing. The silks can be from diffent era's in time, & have already been unpicked from the original kimono which means they get stored in cupboards & these fantastic artisan works get lost. It's my mission to unearth such rare textiles & reimagine them as very limited edition home accessories so we can apprecite & enjoy them as the works of art they really are!
