From fragrant lavender to subtle heather & salt in the air from the ocean. On a recent trip we stumbled across a patch of wild lavender growing along a track, on the far west of the Island, an escapee from someone's garden. The scent seemed out of place, reminding Michael of warmer, more gentle places - but scent plants memories where it's found, & with the wind coming in off the Atlantic this lavender was intensified by its wild setting. We focused in on the lavender leaf & the primary scent, bringing along fresh citrus & subtle sweetness too.
