Sea glass is created from waste glass being thrown into the ocean where it's relentlessly tumbled in the sand by the motion of the waves until it becomes beautifully smoothed & frosted. Larger pieces are used for jewellery but I mostly pick up misshaped shards to use in my varied artworks. Sea glass has a history all of its own. There's no telling how long the glass used in this picture has been in the sea or where it came from originally & I think this adds an extra special element of mystique to each piece I create.
