Simply wrap the velcro snuggly around the collar & trim if necessary. This ensures a good fit & keeps the bow tie . Small for larger Yorkies, Bichon frise, Westies, King Charles spaniels, etc. Bow measures approx. 4 wide. Medium for Cocker spaniels, Springer spaniels, Border collies, etc. Bow measures approx. 5 wide. Large for Dalmations, Labradors, Retreivers, etc. Bow measures approx 6wide.
