A very good quality pair of original French Art Deco curtains circa 1925. Very unusual to find such stylish designs & in such lovely condition. The first photo was taken outside to show the length of the panel & unfortunately the sun was shining & it makes the curtain look faded, which it is not. The fabric is a woven cotton, almost tapestry like. The colours are still so bright, ochres & royal blues with interwoven black thread , & the original brass rings are still sewn on the top of the curtains. Typical French Art Deco geometric designs, made for the the discerning & wealthier clients of the period, these curtains came out of a notable Bordeaux townhouse. Measurements are 280cm long for each panel x 123 cm wide for each panel. The last two photos show the slight discolouration on one side of each panel due to the sunlight, but it's really not bad at all & only in one spot. They haven't been laundered but are very clean.
