FARBERWARE VINTAGE BOWL w FLOWER DESIGN MID CENTURY FIND WITH HAmmERED SURFACE ITEM: This Mid-Century hammered aluminum Farberware bowl with a ridged rim features a large flower that looks like a chrysanthemum in the center. Measuring approx. 8 round & 1-3/4 high, the bowl has an imprint on the underside as pictured. It says: Farberware, faintly in part, with the words Brookyn, NY underneath. A tinsmith by trade, Russian emigrant Simon Farber started his company in Manhattan's Lower East Side where he issued his first line of tabletop & giftware pieces in 1910. His extensive line ranged from ashtrays & barware to serving dishes, trivets & much more. Still made today, Farberware is mostly purchased for decorative display or reuse.
