Drawn in the style of a vintage travel poster, screen print, this image is a rare depiction of Wally, the overstuffed Walrus of the Horniman Museum. Not knowing what a walrus looked like, having never seen one, the victorian taxidermist kept stuffing him until he was full. It was probably the same taxidermist that worked on the platypus displayed in the same gallery, which looks more like a demented blowfish than a natural marsupial that we are all aware of today.
