On offer is this lovely collectible planter/ cache pot. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable pitting around the inner rim as well as light scuffs & scratches over the exterior commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with a Rococo inspired design showing floral sprays & "C" scrolls - the detailing is of a good standard & displays well from all angles. Unfortunately the interior has suffered over the years from extensive ware, corrosion & surface rust (water damage) - please refer to images. Produced by Elizabeth Jane Fairbairns of Sheffield & London, circa late 19th century. It measures a decorative 11cm (4 & 1/4 inches) outer diameter at widest point (inner diameter or approx 7cm (2 & 3/4 inches)) & 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) in height. A lovely antique planter ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
