On offer is this lovely vintage 'double'/ long stool. It's in good condition overall, the oak frame has a lovely patina & grain still - extensive scuffing & scratching in areas however (please refer to images) & there are also areas of notable sun/ water bleaching. The embroidered top is also in good order however has notably faded all over commensurate with age; there are also notable water marks/ brown staining & the padding material itself has become hard & rigid with notable bumps & dips but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, the wooden oak body is plain in design yet elegant in appearance. The padded top has been beautifully decorated with a design showing a lovely countryside scene of an old Tudor type dwelling with a double-arched bridge & foliage - the detailing is of a good standard & the colors still display well however would've been a lot brighter originally. Supported by the original cabriole legs, unmarked for a maker, circa 1930's era. This 'double' stool measures 60cm (23 & 1/2 inches) in outer length, by 30cm (12 inches) including the legs & 28.5cm (11 & 1/2 inches) in total height. A lovely example which despite the numerous condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
