On offer is this lovely old table spoon. It's in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - extensive ware though however especially to the back of the bowl & all edging where the base nickel silver (brassy tone) is clearly showing through; shallow dings over the bowl; notable scuffs & scratches too all over but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, the back of the handle has been decorated with an anchor crest & CAN - Compagnie, Auxiliaire de Navigation, French shipping company which was founded in the early 20th century. French produced, the bowl bearing two miniature marks, circa Art Deco era 1930's. It measures 21.5cm (8 & 1/2 inches) in length & despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
