On offer is this lovely vintage set of six historical dessert spoons. They're in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - there is a notable worn spec to one of the bowls as well as notable scuffs & scratches all over them commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. They're of traditional form, the handles showing an old English pattern terminal. They've also been marked with a military badge for the Sherwood Foresters & also the numeral "V" for the fifth battalion regiment - mess cutlery. The Sherwood Foresters were an infantry regiment of the British Army set up in 1881 - the merging of the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire foot regiments. Sheffield produced by Ryals, circa Art Deco era, 1930's. They measure 18cm (7 inches) in length & are ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for "Tracked Airmail".
