On offer is this lovely antique serving fork. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - extensive ware however over the three tine end & reverse side where the base nickel silver (brassy tone) is showing through; notable scuffs & scratches all over too (particularly over the tines) but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It's of traditional form, the three tines being plain in design. The handle is most striking & features a spiral finish with bead pattern & a beautifully cast terminal showing a squirrel. The detailing is of a good standard & really stands out on display. Sheffield or Birmingham produced, circa late 19th century.
