On offer is this charming pair of antique forks. They're in good condition overall, the silver plate & silver shine up well still - notable ware however particularly over one exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); there are also a number of shallow dings & dents over both handles; light scuffs & scratches all over commensurate with age as well as blackened tarnish in the grooves of the handle decoration but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the duo. They're of traditional form, beautifully decorated with a floral scroll pattern which displays ever so well still. The reverse sides are plain. Both handles are sterling silver, decorated with an elegant scroll border edge which shows on both sides. The silver plated sections are marked for Isaac Ellis of Sheffield. Both handles are hallmarked for Sheffield, 1900 & the maker Isaac Ellis. They measure 18cm (around 7 inches) in length & are ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
