Round empire-shaped lampshade, covered by hand with Alexander Henry's Resting in Roses fabric. This beautiful design features skulls resting on a bed of dusky pink roses on a tea/caramel coloured background. For table/standard lamps only, not suitable for ceiling/pendant lights. It will make a focal point in areas from living rooms & hallways to bedrooms, bringing a subtle gothic touch to your home. The rigid body of the shade is covered with a high quality 100% cotton fabric & attached to white metal rings top & bottom, the top edges are then rolled & tucked under. These are made in my home studio in Chester, England. Approx size: Top ring 20cm/8" diameter. Bottom ring 30cm/12" diameter Height 22cm/8.5" Fitting for UK/EU standard/table/floor lamp (hole for bulb at the bottom of the shade, hole is 40mm diameter with a 25mm converter plug). There is a small joining seam at the back where the pattern does not match. The inside has white backing material that gives you maximum brightness when lit, as the light shines through the fabric. This is for a shade only, not any electrical fittings. The technical stuff: Tested for fire resistance to comply with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries. The PVC liner material has been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories & has passed the glow wire test. Maximum recommended bulb wattage for 15cm is 40w, then 60w for larger sizes. Low energy bulbs reduce the risk of scorching.
