A gorgeous sterling silver teaspoon, unusual with a thistle finial made by Charles Horner with the desirable Chester silver hallmark & letter C in the font for 1953. The spoon is in very good condition with just a little light surface scratching & some tiny spots of tarnishing where the stem is attached to the bowl. This is quite a dainty spoon, the size of a fairly small teaspoon or large coffee spoon. It measures approximately 11.7 cm, 4 5/8 in length. I would say the shape of the bowl is quite Arts & Crafts in style. An interesting addition to a collection of spoons, lovely to use accompanying a fine porcelain teacup.
