The Pillow Case: - Hand dyed & hand embroidered in Bukhara, Uzbekistan by local women. - Embroidered by hand on cotton with naturally dyed fine yarn. - Muted golds, greens & red colours depending on light. Photographed with different light sources to showcase this. - Cotton back with an invisible close - 43cm x 43 cm (17 x 17) - roughly! Suzani - Suzani means needlework in Persian, & is synonymous with the embroideries of Uzbekistan in Central Asia. - The dyes are made from natural plants, such as madder, cochineal, indigo, walnut, pomegranate, & sumac, amongst others. - Due to Suzani covers being handmade, there might be some imperfections, minor sizing difference, & pen marks as the unique patterns are drawn on the cover before being embroidered. This is part of their uniqueness & charm. The price is for the cushion cover only. Delicate & specialised washing advised! N.B. There is a small mark on the back of the cover.
