The Pillow Case: - Hand dyed & hand embroidered in Bukhara, Uzbekistan by local women. - Embroidered by hand on silk with naturally dyed fine yarn. - Blue, red & green colours depending on light. Photographed with different light sources to showcase this. - Silk back with an invisible zip close. - 48cm x 48 cm (19 x 19) - This pillow case is part of a special collection where the backs are also made of silk. Suzani - Suzani means needlework in Persian, an is synonymous with the embroideries of Uzbekistan in Central Asia. - The dyes are made from natural plants, such as madder, cochineal, indigo, walnut, pomegranate, & sumac, amongst others. - Due to Suzani covers being handmade, there might be some imperfections, minor sizing difference, & pen marks as the unique patterns are drawn on the silk cover before being embroidered. This is part of their uniqueness & charm. The price is for the cushion cover only. Delicate washing advised.
