With their sculptural curved backs & graceful tapered legs these are really something special to behold. Kurt stervig was a leading danish designer who is known for his harmonious use with wood to make elegant furniture. He is particularly known for his Mid Century furniture design. Following his time working as a designer for the renowned E. Knudsen, stervig founded his own design studio in 1947. His pieces today are collectors items & can be seen in museums across the world including MoMA in New York. These are collectible pieces of 20th Century Danish design & it's easy to forget they were originally made for a practical purpose - the beauty being that Danish Modernist designs were created to be beautiful as well as functional.
