Extraordinary & enormous sterling silver & gemstone sparking bib statement necklace encrusted with clear stones (either crystal rhinestones, or perhaps more likely to be cubic zirconia given the quality of the piece). All of the strands hanging down have the largest & most gorgeous red teardrop shaped pear cut stones. All the stones have been set in delicately engineered open-backed settings, so the light can stream through. The necklace has a length around the neck of about 17.5 inches, but the bib section extends much further as you can see. It fastens with a secure push-in box clasp, cleverly hidden under the clear stones at each end. There are two safety clasps for extra security. This may have been a wedding or celebration piece from India. It is stamped 925 for sterling silver on the reverse of the clasp. It weighs 191 grams - a very heavy & impressive piece. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition - it looks unworn. It will be sent in the large, olive green hinged presentation box, pictured.
