This is a 16 inch, Royal Dux, CERAMIC MAIDEN GIRL FIGURAL ART NOUVEAU VASE marked number 850. It is 16 inches tall & 6 inches wide. It is a huge, beautiful Art Nouveau period, tall vase with gilt hand painted accents & muted green tones. It's depicting a young woman in a flowing dress reclining against a tree. It has the official pink Royal Dux mark & has an incised numbered 850. This Figural Vase Maiden stands near a curved cone opening to a vase. The vase is cream colored with a browner tone towards the bottom. There are green applied leaves on the sides of the vase. The maiden is holding the vase with her left hand & looking to the side. She is barefoot & all fingers & toes are perfect. Condition is excellent. It's over 100 years old so there is a tiny bit of paint lessening on a few leaf tips. Estimated value by antiques expert: $1500. The Royal Dux factory became known for its earthy colored human & animal & flowers figures. This piece is in excellent condition.
