1970's/80's Reproduction Georgian Style Hall Wall Mirror With Shelf/Drawer. Large Ornate Antique Style Hall Mirror Columns - Balustrade - Drawer - Pediment. Lovely wax polished brown wood, very decorative & unusual much carved detail a shell pediment at the top on two small columns, a decorated carved feature between. Four carved finials. Octagonal mirror with a half column either side. Beneath the mirror is a storage space with a balustrade of eleven columns, beneath this a lengthy draw, beneath which is a carved section. Can't find anything similar today but the style is clearly of the 1970s reproducing the period of George III. Anything similar we found appears to possibly originate in Holland France or Germany. It's in wonderful condition with no damage, it does have many tiny/small knocks to the finish & in places they appear to have been coloured with a furniture pen. The piece holding the shell at the top has what appears a black mark this is in fact grain of the wood - last picture. The mirror is very good indeed but when it was cleaned a diagonal strip from one top corner to the bottom could be seen a couple of cms wide & very regular once the polish was removed it disappeared - second to last photo 86cms in height or 34 inches. 47cms in width. 11cms in depth at the base. The mirror surface alone is 42cms in height & 35cms in width. We attempted to weigh it on our 4kg scales but it was heavier.
