Studio pottery vase by Rudi Stahl (1918-1987), Hhr-Grenzhausen, West Germany circa 1960s. Fat Lava handled vase from this renowned German potter, brother of equally esteemed potter Wendelin stahl, he established his own tpferei studio in 1938. This is characteristic of his undestated style, red brown clay with a textured surface & a organic natural earthy tones from beige to dark brown. . Showing an influence of Japanese pottery, & traditional craftmanship. Would make a fantastic addition to any collection of West German, Fat Lava or studio pottery, & would complement any retro, vintage, 1960s, midcentury, modernist, brutalist, minimalist or contemporary interior. in excellent condition.
