Description
This is a beautiful armchair by Ercol, designed by Lucian R Ercolani & made from beech. It is one of the first models made as it has 'patent applied for' stamped on it & has been identified by Ercol as the 477 range. The 477 is beautifully crafted from wood, extremely comfortable to sit on as well as a chair that would bring vintage style into your home. There is now only 1 armchair available which has been refitted with new Ercol webbing straps. The seat & back cushions are the original ones from 1959 (hence not covered by the most recent 1988 fire regulations)and are in excellent condition. The beautiful seat cover is also in great condition & can be unzipped to wash. (The circular cushions are not included in the sale). There are seat cushions & covers available on Etsy & other websites should you wish to replace these. There are a few small scrapes on the chair which you have to look closely at to see (please see photos) but it is in a good condition for it's age & has been well looked after.
