This round covered serving bowl is made of thick, heavy clear glass. The cover has a knob handle. It is an unmarked piece of vintage kitchenalia. The base is plain heavy glass which does have some tiny chips on the inner rim. Its cover has textured ridges around the centered knob handle. The lid also has a few small nicks on the rim. There are no markings on either piece. It is a relatively large bowl... 4 (10.2cm) tall without the cover 6 1/2 (16.5cm) tall with the cover 8 (20.3cm) across the opening 3 (7.6cm) across the base Overall this serving bowl is in very good condition for its age. Since there are no markings on this piece it is not recommended to use in the oven or stove top. Use for serving/storing/decorative uses only. It is a fabulous piece of vintage kitchenalia that would be great in a mid-century or farm kitchen.
