This is a beautiful vintage Art Deco English porcelain serving dish made by Myott. There is a gold mark on the bottom that reads, Myott Hand Painted 1315 B & pressed into the porcelain you will find, Made in England. There are a couple of flea bites in the colour glaze & there are marks where the piece was perched during firing. The colours are really great & oh so retro! Orange, black & brown. Dimensions are 9 1/2 inches wide by 3 inched high. Myott, Son & Co. Ltd. was established in 1898 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Myott was a family-run business, producing earthenware. in 1925 they expanded & moved to the Upper Hanley Pottery in 1925. Their hand painted Art Deco wares were incredibly popular. Geometric shapes such as the fan & pyramid vase are highly sought after. Sadly in 1949, there was a fire at the factory & vital pattern information history was lost. Shipping costs are extra.
