The roots of the Tree of Life dig deep & spread into the earth, thereby accepting nourishment from Mother Earth, & its branches reach up into the sky, accepting energy from the sun & moon. in Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is an eternal & sacred Ash tree with branches that stretch out to harbor nine worlds. It is has three roots & each one reaches to a different mysterious world. The first root is connected with Asgard, the ancient kingdom of the powerful Norse gods. The second root goes all the way to Jötunheimr, the home of the fearful giants & the third root stretches to Nilfheim, a place shrouded in primordial darkness, cold, mist, & ice. These earrings are handmade with 925 Sterling Silver in our own workshop. 925 Sterling Silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver & 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects, & in Sterling Silver, the silver is alloyed to give strength whilst preserving the malleability of the silver & a high precious metal content - ideal for making silver jewellery. Sterling silver jewellery is always stamped with a marking to indicate the percentage of silver it contains. The product will be sent in an organza bag along with a business card.
