Exquisite little painted french rococo style dressing table/vanity/girls/guest room overall height - 141 cm table height - 77 cm under table leg height - 58.5 cm width - 92 cm depth - 50 cm a simply lovely small rococo style painted kidney shaped dressing table. being of an ususal smaller size lends it perfectly to being used in a guest room as an occasional piece or indeed by a young girl as a treasured part of her bedroom. romantic in it's styling, it features beautiful carvings which are beautifully sublte to the base. a central porcelein plaque with a painted traditional french scene to the single central drawer is framed by an oval scrolled carving. either side of which are the original gold coloured brass drop handles with a pretty fan design. complete with it's original oval mirror which is also exquiste with carvings. this lovely piece of furniture is hand painted in a pale soft blued grey, which has been subtley antiqued, with a hint of gilt to the moldings & carvings to really lift the paint finish. the interior to the central drawer has been painted in a complementary off white. this gorgeous piece of furniture has been hand finished in wax, distressed & antiqued using my own artisan techniques to simulate an appearance of age old perfection & usage. techniques borne out of years of experience, practice & experimentation in painting furniture to the highest standards. the wonderful patination now created on this piece is wonderfully tactile to the touch & adds a depth of character synonymous with rustic charm. all my pieces of a more rustic painted nature & subtle neutral colour, perfectly compliment the easy relaxed interiors of today's country style homes. i personally love the well worn, lived with, honest functionality of these pieces as well as the elegant traditional charm of the type of interior in which they are renowned. - a substantial, lovely piece of furniture perfectly suited to any rustic setting, be that a period cottage, farmhouse or more modern minimalist property. please note that i have a good supply of new furniture coming into to stock all the time. if you have something specific that you are looking for please do make contact on 07923 996117, or for any other questions that you may have. how durable is the finish all my pieces finished in wax will stand up to normal wear & tear we advise you to treat your piece of furniture as you would a fine antique. avoid excessive water & scratchy objects. use coasters under water glasses on table tops. clean with a soft cloth & avoid all liquid furniture polishes. following this simple advice will ensure that your piece stays looking good for years to come. - vintage & antique items very often show signs of their previous life which may include knocks, lumps, bumps, small gaps, repairs, historic woodworm holes (always treated as a precaution), chips etc that you would expect. these in my opinion only add to the character & authenticity of the furniture. payment cash on
