Estate 5 Bar Gate
Description
The Estate gate is a residential 5 bar entrance gate with an extended curved hanging stile, sometimes known as a hockey stick due to its shape. The top bar is tapered and constructed in a mortice and tenon fashion for stability and strength. It is reinforced by an extended diagonal brace which branches further than the top bar and attaches to the extended stile (excluding the 3' and 4' wide gates). The gate is joined together using stainless steel fixings.
Manufactured using sustainable slow grown softwood and made in Britain, this gate is made to a better quality due to the dense wood. The gate is fully planed, pressure treated and handed to both left and right sides for further strength on the hanging side. The hanging stile is 125mm x 75mm and the clapping stile is 75mm x 75mm.
The gate comes to 3' 3.5" (1.003m) in height to the top of the top rail, or 4' 10" (1.473m) to the top of the stile on the larger gates. For the 3' and 4' gates, the height to the top of the hanging stile is 4' 2" (1.270m). This gate is only suitable for automation is a heavy duty rail is added, a custom made gate may be required for this addition.

For any warranty to be valid on the gate you must fit a drop bolt (one on each gate if a pair) and the gate must be coated with Restol UV Oil prior to hanging the gate, see Timber Gate Care for further information. The fittings and posts mentioned in the charts are advisory ONLY, change the sizes at your discretion.
