Nike React foam was developed in-house, and the unique composition gives runners foam that is lighter, softer, more responsive and even more durable than Nike Lunar foam. Nike React was built to last for many miles. Nike React technology is a proprietary foam that is more responsive and more durable than Nike Lunar foam. We know from our testing that the more foam and less rubber protection on the outsole of the shoe, the better the experience of React. So we purposely went as minimal as possible with rubber coverage.
