Description
What's an induction hob? Induction hobs heat the pan not the hob using an electrical current. Induction hobs can heat a pan faster than a traditional gas or electric hob, and are more energy efficient. They're also easier to clean, as you can wipe the hob shortly after using it. Remember, not all ceramic hobs are induction hobs. An induction hob can only be used with induction compatible pans. You can use induction kettles (which are faster to boil than normal kettles) with induction hobs. The fine degree of control over the power of the hob is also good for tasks like melting chocolate or making a sauce. Boasting a modern yet understated design, the Lien Diamond 874 Induction Hob from Elica is sure to make an elegant addition to any kitchen, while bringing ease and flexibility to mealtimes. Bridge zones Elica's bridge zones can work individually or be combined when using baking pans and large pots. With this advanced technology, the hob surface adapts itself to suit your cookware. Pan detection The Diamond 874 automatically detects any pots that are placed in the cooking zone and provides quick, even heat. The absence of your cookware on the surface blocks the heating process, making the hob perfectly safe and energy efficient. Chef Cook Chef Cook automatically sets 4 bridge zones with a selected power that increases from the left to the right side. Once activated, the pot can be moved from one zone to another depending on the required cooking temperature. Temperature manager Equipped with a choice of 3 programs at temperatures of 42, 74 and 92°C, this smart hob uses optimum settings for all kinds of cooking methods, from warming at low temperatures to boiling. Smart technology Lien hobs are equipped with wireless technology that transmits real-time information about the use of your hob, including active zones, cooking power and the presence of pots. Please note: there should be a minimum height clearance of 65cm between an electric hob and the cooker hood above it.
