It lets you raise or lower the leg rest and the back rest independently from each other, to provide a much larger range of supportive positions to choose from. You are also able to reach a lower full-recline position than most single motor chairs. The rise and recline action allows the Nevada to lift up and tilt forward, guiding you gently to your feet and helping you move independently. It also helps you to sit back down by lowering gently from the standing position. As additional safety measures it has both an in-built safety key in the handset which prevents accidental movement or entrapment, as well as a battery back-up in case of a power failure.
