The Dremel 8240 is a cordless rotary multi tool which runs on 12v lithium ion batteries. This means there is no power cable to get in the way during use, and also means it is easier than ever to work in locations where there is no available power socket. The 8240 has the standard Dremel rotary tool holder which makes it compatible with all Dremel rotary tool accessories and attachments. With the appropriate accessories you can carry out a wide variety of applications, including carving, engraving, cutting, grinding, sharpening, cleaning, polishing, sanding and drilling. In order to match the rotation speed to the application in hand, a variable speed dial enables the speed to be adjusted from 5,000 RPM to 35,000 RPM. The 8240 has an ergonomic body shape, wih rubber soft grip padding for comfortable handling. It features the Dremel EZ Twist nose cap for ease of use and has an integrated battery fuel gauge so you can keep track of how much runtime is left in the battery at all times.
