As Katsushika Hokusai set to work on the ’36 Views of Mount Fuji’ aged 70, he had already tapped into numerous visions and re-channel his energy multiple times. It was his end-goal to provide the working class with a fresh level of access to the art world in all of its glory. This two-part capsule epitomises Katsushika’s ethos, using Dr. Martens 1460 as a blank canvas.
