Artemide Pendant Transparent Metal. Dimensions: 140 cm - Ceiling rose: Ø 23.7 x H 4 cm - Cable: L 200 cm max.. An intangible pendant, almost invisible which transforms and reveals itself once the light it lit ! The Discovery Vertical pendant is made up of a large flat transparent technopolymer disk (Ø 140 cm) placed vertically and framed with an extremely fine and light aluminium ring. The LED source inside the aluminium ring projects its light into the transparent central disk, and its surface lights up evenly. Once lit, the light takes up the middle section that was previously transparent. The inside of the pendant appears as if by magic, and metamorphoses from non-existent to this full and regular surface of light. This extraordinary result is obtained thanks to micro-incisions on the transparent disk that are almost invisible to the naked eye when the lamp is switched off. Their geometry and their placement have been carefully calculated to get a constant emission, as well as a precise and timely light aura, according to a flow balance in relation to the emitting surface, guaranteeing a perfect visual comfort. The Discovery pendant is an original development based on an optical principle made possible thanks to the technological expertise of Artemide and its in-depth understanding of light which is shown in the control of its interaction with the material as well as in the very specific attention to detailed paid to the finish and the quality of its perception.
