The Morus Nigra Black Persian Mullberry, is a gorgeous tree/large bush we highly recommend. The domed, rounded habit of this tree gives it an architectural appearance, a brilliant tree to be grown as a specimen in the middle of the lawn. A tree which is to be admired for its outstanding beauty. That is not all, this tree is also a fruit bearer, producing crops of delicious, sweet tasty mulberries, similar in shape to the raspberry. The fruits matures slowly over the summer month's, fully ripe fruits are very attractive, very dark-red to black in colour. Mulberries can be eaten raw or cooked, and are great for jams.
