The DCE040 can be retrofitted to any DeWalt 18v XR power tool, enabling it to be remotely managed using the DeWalt Tool Connect App in the same way as the new generation of Tool Connect machines. The Connector is installed over the battery compartment and cannot be removed once in place, acting as an effective theft detterent as well as alerting users if the tool moves out of range.
