For climbers, its vital for packs to fit close to the body for stability, through stripping unnecessary padding in favor of ventilated AirMesh, the Guide contours to your spine whilst still providing breathability. S-Cut shoulder straps with a wide base allow for freedom of movement when climbing and the hip belt can easily be detached. The load adjustment shoulder straps allow the user to cinch the load forward for weight to be distributed parallel to the spinal cord for vertical load-bearing comfort, allowing for easy weight transfer on approaches with medium loads. As a true mountaineering pack, the Guide has a range of climbing-specific features, ice axes, and skihiking poles that can be attached to the backpack whilst fixing loops provide a place to attach extra climbing gear. There are also straps to hold ropes and a stowable cover can be used as a rain cover or to hold your helmet.Handy side compression straps keep your gear secure when traversing but can also be used to hold your skis or other gear. A stretch inner wet storage compartment ideal for storing damp clothing and the pack compatible with hydration systems up to 3 liters so you can keep yourself hydrated during your expeditions, climbs, etc.The Guide range from Deuter specifically designed for mountaineering, consequently, they have a streamlined, funnel design with flattened straps to minimize snagging whilst on a rock face. Constructed entirely from tightly woven material for high abrasionwater resistance, the pack can stand up to the worst of mountain environments.
