Awnings by DETEX®, made robust and stable The DETEX sun sails made of Oxford fabric offer UV50 protection , natural sun protection as well as protection against harmful UV rays. HDPE and Oxford fabrics are also UV stabilised and offer a 95% shading efficiency . Both materials are highly water-repellent . The HDPE fabric (High-Density Polyethylene) offers 275 gr/m² and the Oxford fabric (100% Polyester) 210 gr/m². The awnings are pre-impregnated and have a wind and water-repellent coating. This coating should always face upwards for optimum protection. Tension the sail with a gradient of at least 20% to support the water-repellent function of the fabric. This allows the water to run off and prevents the formation of a water bag. A perfect and clean tension of the sun sail is possible thanks to its concave cut (arc-shaped inclined inwards).
