The Super Damask Orthopaedic small double mattress is constructed by merging strong open coil springs and white fibre fillings with a luxurious damask cover. The mattress is well tailored and features a hand tufted finish, a process that passes a series of tapes through the mattress panels at regular intervals. These tapes are fastened on each side with a cotton tuft that pre-tensions the mattress; this ensures the fillings remain in place and creates a firmer sleep surface. Its open coil spring system is robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, commonly known as a helical wire.. The border of the mattress is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
