The Ellesmere is a popular, low cost mattress from Deluxe Beds that39;s made up of traditional open coil springs, white fibre fillings and a woven damask cover. At the foundation of the mattress is a robust open coil spring interior that39;s supplied by AGRO, Europe39;s biggest manufacturer of mattress spring systems. The open coil springs are laid out in rows, running from head to toe and connected on both sides into one single unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To offer enhanced strength and support to the finished unit, a heavy gauge outer rod-edge wire is fitted around the top and bottom of the perimeter springs.
