Cotton cardigan, jacquard design inspired by ceramic designs by William de Morgan (18391917), held in the Victoria and Albert Museum. An eminent designer and potter, he worked closely with William Morris who, along with medieval art and 16th and 17th century engravings, strongly influenced his work. Gentlyfitted shape with popper fastenings.
