The result is a lighter and stiffer aluminium frame with tubes that also have an aesthetically pleasing, organic appearance. Internal cable routing also adds to the clean, sleek appearance and increases the durability of the cables by protecting them from dirt and the elements. Cube's Frame Save System means the mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame, so should damage occur the derailleur hanger is easily replaceable. The Aim Race also features Cube's acclaimed Agile Ride Geometry. Firstly, this sees increased fork offsets providing good toe clearance to the front wheel. Secondly, shortened chain stays and a specially mounted front derailleur provide more tyre clearance without compromising the seat angle. Lastly, Cube kept the BB height the same as on their 26 inch bikes. All this adds up to a comfortable and natural riding position for all rider sizes.To take care of the trails the Aim Race features a plethora of reliable components such as a Suntour fork with 100mm travel and remote lockout, a Shimano drivetrain with a massive range of 24 gears, powerful Shimano hydraulic brakes and smooth rolling, grippy Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres. However, if you'd like to use the bike for commuting or touring Cube have redesigned the frame for this 2019 model to make fitting a rack or fenders even easier and more secure.
