Williston Forge This thumb latch fulfils both requirements and is built to last the outdoor wet and cold weather. The latch includes a handle with the thumb depressor and lever attached, which is typically mounted on the street side of the gate with the attached lever appearing through a drilled hole on the inside of the gate. When the thumb depressor is activated the lever will lift the latch, located on the inside of the gate up and down from the catch, allowing you to open and close the gate. Be sure to check your gate thickness and the surrounding environment when picking the perfect latch for your gate. The pin lock can be inserted into a hole in the latch will allow extra security.
