Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye'
Description
This variety of tickseed is a staple ingredient of cottage, wildlife and cut flower gardens alike. Bees and butterflies certainly think that its flowers' sweet nectar is good enough to eat, and it's easy to see why: their honey-coloured stamens are surrounded by delightful caramel and maroon petals. When Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye' is planted in sunlight or partial shade, these blooms will appear against its green foliage throughout the summer and early autumn. Once established, the hardy perennial can also survive substantial periods of drought. Height: 40cm (1'3); Spread: 30cm (1'0).
