Worried about its students’ well-being, University of Copenhagen (KUA) kindly asked brothers Erwan and Ronan Bourollec to design a new collection of furniture for the department of literature. “This is so interesting from a historical point of view,” Ronan Bourollec admits. “Every time a new university or school building is built in Denmark, designers are asked to design furniture for the new space.” The successful Copenhague collection is mostly made from wooden and in harmonised and balanced forms that convey a feeling of lightness and harmony. This small desk (130 x 65 cm) consists of an oak plate clad with linoleum fixed on a massive oak trestle. Its rather small size is perfect for areas of limited space. The Copenhahgue collection also includes other types of desks, tables, chairs, bar stools and secretaries.
